Now an infant, All For One drags himself over debris, intent on handing his Quirk to Tomura so the suppressed personality can retake that superior body and mind. He assumes his vestige was removed before it could try a last-ditch trick, so stealing One For All still looks possible. Thinking of Yoichi, he reasons that the bad things stick in memory longest, which is why ruining other people's futures keeps every eye on him forever.

Dynamight finds him still there and starts coughing up blood, spent enough to pass out. He almost lets it go, since the villain hovers between birth and death and cannot even speak, and will vanish without help. Then he recalls telling Eijiro that standing through anything makes a person monstrously strong, stops himself, and demands an absolute win. A Spearlike Bone fired from the infant's mouth gets caught in his teeth and bitten off.

Rage takes what is left. Screaming and whining out every scrap of hatred, All For One shrinks into a fetus as the Quirk Factors inside him wink out, the Hawks vestige noting with a smile that sending each one home to its original holder would be a pleasant bonus and is not how any of this works. He collapses into an egg cell and disappears. Dynamight drops, annoyed he lacks the strength to strike the upright victory pose All Might made famous, throws his left fist up from the ground, and tells Izuku to give them hell.

A flashback to Troy shows Best Jeanist briefing the team days before the battle. Tomura will strike U.A., must never touch the ground, and the real question is which personality answers. All For One wants living subjects to dominate; Tomura wants nothing left standing. Jeanist warns that hatred that strong may aim itself at the planet, and that even a hard-won victory means nothing without a foundation left to stand on.

In the present, civilians at the shelter, Inko Midoriya among them, watch flooding swallow the broadcast. Tomura explains he is running Decay deep below rather than across the surface, erasing a chunk of Shizuoka Prefecture in a blink and promising the country's full 378,000 square kilometers within a week, since leaving no hope of rebuilding behind is what destroying everything truly means.

Deku answers with a smash, layering Gearshift, Fa Jin and Danger Sense together, the gifts of the Second, Third and Fourth users, to stay aggressive while hunting for a permanent solution. Tomura credits his dead Master with the strength to keep pace with Deku, reaches for his face, and loses his fingers to a last-instant dodge. Then Daigoro Banjo appears with worse news: Hikage is gone, Danger Sense has been taken, and he asks how long Deku can keep this up.

Fifteen pages, published December 25, 2023 in the combined 4-5 issue of 2024, collected in volume 40 of the Final War arc. The Dynamight and All For One fight concludes here, while the Deku and Tomura fight carries on.

The adaptation splits across two anime installments, with the first eight pages in Episode 163 and the rest in Episode 164. Horikoshi's comment thanks the elementary and middle school students still writing him letters after all these years.
