Chapter 421

The Class 1-A students spill out of the gates and greet one another. Red Riot and Tentacole marvel that everyone made it; Anima says the police put out a call for anyone still able to fight; Pinky heard that Eraser Head talked Kurogiri around; Invisible Girl and Can't Stop Twinkling simply stand there, set on it; Chargebolt and Creati say that watching their friend fight like that made staying put impossible; Froppy intends to spend everything she has for as long as she stays awake; Earphone Jack points out how far they have already come for this win; Grape Juice cannot picture skipping this and asks what dreaming of heroics would even mean if he did. Deku stares as the whole assembly declares that they are here.

"All For One" surveys the ashen bodies ringing Deku and reflects that, fused into Tomura as he was, he should have broken with him. Instead the sound of Yoichi's vestige shattering drained the color out of everything, and with his obsession gone there was only a hole where the loss had been, a target no strike could find, which is how he slipped the killing blow. Quirks erupt from his arms and legs as he tells Deku that tragedy is what forges real strength, and asks whether he agrees.

Cellophane answers instead. His life has held no towering highs or ruinous lows, he says, and all that ever pushed him was refusing to trail his classmates. Charging in, he brings up someone who has been through genuine hardship and used to look hollowed out, and says the world would be better off if nobody had to go through that misery at all. Two gates open around the villain and Shoto and Endeavor land twin Flashfire Fists.

Not long before, the Todorokis were being pulled off the Gunga battlefield toward Recovery Girl, who has been healing casualties all day and may be spent. Natsuo told his father that Rei and Fuyumi have taken all the heat they can stand for one day, and to go spend whatever is left in him. Cellophane hauls the pair away, saying this is what he has been chewing over since Shoto beat Dabi.

Present Mic steps through a gate, thanking "Kurogiri", and calls out that everyone able to fight is now gathered for one last job. "All For One" readies an attack, finding a legion of desperate, wounded heroes merely dreary, all of them footnotes next to All Might. Thirteen, riding Hound Dog, starts drawing him in with Black Hole, and Shishikross' Meatballs and Gang Orca's Orcinus land on him. He retaliates, dismissing the heroes as dust to be swept aside, and Burnin and others deflect most of the barrage. He is too fast, the heroes realize, a dozen of them needed to handle a single attack, and Battle Fist shouts at everyone to stay together and refuse to be split.

Deku's arms are back and he wants in, but his body folds. Eraser reminds him the rewind only carried him a few minutes, to just before he lost them, and everything else he accumulated is still there. Deku tells him One For All is gone, surrendered, and the previous users' Quirks with it. Eraser is stunned. Even so, Deku says, being born Quirkless meant the power took root in him exactly as it did in All Might, so the embers are still burning, and while they are, "All For One" has to reckon with him. Eraser hands him medicine, bandages, and the shirt a refugee gave him, which Deku recognizes at once. Can't Stop Twinkling takes his arm and tells him to run, because Deku needs their strength and they need his. Everyone on the broadcast reacts to the sight of them fighting together, Eri and Kota and Gran Torino among them, all shouting that they can do it, and Deku starts running.

Nearly all of Class 1-A, plus the heroes still standing after the Final War, gather for the last fight.

The villain explains his survival inside Tomura: the despair of hearing Yoichi's vestige break let him slip death and retake the body.

The heroes commit to an all-out assault, coordinating to intercept each blast rather than be picked apart.

Shoto and Endeavor enter the battle once Dabi and the rest of the Todorokis are carried off to recover.

Deku admits he surrendered One For All to beat Tomura, though its embers remain in him.

His arms are restored, but every other injury from the battle stays.

"We Are Here" runs fifteen pages, published in the combined issue 22-23 of 2024 on April 29 and collected in volume 41 within the Final War arc. Episode 167 adapts it, and the cover features the heroes.

The title and the rallying cry answer All Might's own "I Am Here" and call back to the title of Chapter 386. Flashfire Fist is the featured super move. Kohei Horikoshi's author's comment complains about four bad pen tips in a row and his need for a perfect one.
