Boruto's Return Arc

This is the first arc of the manga's second part, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, running across its opening fifteen chapters. It picks up from the Omnipotence Arc that closed Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and leads into the Matsuri and Ryū Arc.

Three years on from Boruto's departure, Shikamaru holds the seat of Eighth Hokage and most of the village regards the young shinobi as an enemy, Sarada and Sumire being the exceptions. The pair quietly press Ada for a way to undo Omnipotence while feigning that they remain under her spell. Kawaki keeps his distance and backs Mitsuki's wariness, though Himawari, now training with Chōchō, holds onto her belief that both Boruto and her missing father are still worth trusting. When Code smuggles his Claw Marks into Konoha and looses his Claw Grimes to flush out his target, Boruto reappears just in time to shield Sarada.

The clash carries into a duel with Mitsuki that leaves the latter with a fresh understanding of his friend. Earlier pressure on Code coincides with the emergence of a new faction that descends on Konoha chasing its own aims, one of whose members turns out to be behind Sasuke's vanishing. Kurama, meanwhile, lingers on as chakra residue within Himawari, a detail that proves central to the unfolding crisis.
