Blue B ranked among Kumogakure's elite shinobi and carried the Eight-Tails as its jinchuriki before Killer B. Gifted though he was, he never fully mastered the beast, and his failure to hold it in check ended in tragedy and his own death.
Blue B wears his long hair split down the middle into two colours, one side green and the other white, with brows to match. Heavy lids give his eyes a perpetually weary cast, and a purple diamond sits along the right of his face. He dresses in the standard Kumogakure kit: a flak jacket, a long-sleeved V-neck top layered over bandages, and a fairly long sword slung across his back. Once reincarnated, he looks much as he did in life, save for blank pupils set within grey sclerae.
Blue B carried a bleak view of the jinchuriki's lot, certain that hosting a beast filled a life with fear and crushing loneliness. What such a person truly needed, he believed, was something to fill the hollow in the heart and lend them strength. The scorn he faced after his sealing nearly broke his own will to live, and he came to accept that he could not master the creature within him.
Even so, he shouldered the blame for the deaths his rampage caused, apologising to Motoi for killing his father, and he was glad to see his successor find the very thing he never could.
On a mission with the future Fourth Raikage and Killer B, Blue B admitted that neither he nor his forebears could bring the Eight-Tails to heel, pinning his hopes on B as the next host. He eventually lost his grip on the beast entirely, and its rampage killed eight Kumo shinobi, Motoi's father among them. The Third Raikage brought the creature to heel, locking it away within the Kohaku no Johei at the cost of Blue B's life. The anime lays the disaster at Orochimaru's feet, who posed as his physician to drug and unseal the beast.
Years later, Kabuto Yakushi brought Blue B back to serve in the Fourth Shinobi World War, restoring his powers through the Eight-Tails' severed horn and driving him to clash evenly with Killer B. Moved at last by the bonds his successor had formed, he broke free of the summoning and returned to the afterlife.
