Bull

Towering over the rest of the pack, Bull is a broad black bulldog with a studded collar around his neck. Like his fellow hounds he wears the group's blue vest marked with the heno-heno-moheji design, and a Konoha headband sits strapped to his left foreleg.

His bulk and glower match the tough image his name suggests. He gets on well with Pakkun, happily letting the smaller dog perch atop his head, and among the pack he tends to be the noisy, brash one.

Bull's keen senses let him lock onto a scent with little effort, and with the Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique he can even follow prey moving underground. Once he reaches a target, he can clamp it in place so Kakashi strikes without risk, a tactic that lets his master land a clean Lightning Cutter on the rogue swordsman Zabuza Momochi. He works in tight coordination with the other hounds, shifting between attacking and guarding formations that lean on their agility and heavy limbs. Over the years Kakashi calls on him to chase the missing-nin Sasori using a scrap of cloth, to hunt Itachi Uchiha alongside Naruto, Hinata, and Yamato, to trail Naruto's squad during the pursuit of Sasuke, and to sniff out explosive tags hidden aboard the Tobishachimaru. In the anime he also joins the searches for a captured Rin Nohara and for the fleeing Orochimaru.
