Minamo Funato was a pirate of the Funato clan, wife to its leader Araumi and mother of three. Kind and fiercely devoted to her family, she gave her life shielding her infant son Ikada from a Kirigakure attack, her frozen body sinking beneath the waves.
Widely regarded as a beauty, Minamo was a fair-skinned woman of middling height and full figure. Wavy brown hair spilled to her lower back beneath a red bandanna, and her eyes were an icy blue. She wore a halter top, white across the bodice and brown lower down, a gold ring pendant, and a long red skirt cinched by a blue sash at the waist.
Minamo's heart belonged to her clan and, above all, to her family. Warm and nurturing, she asked for nothing more than to watch her loved ones flourish, and her loyalty to the Funato ran deep.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
In a clash with Kirigakure, Minamo carried her newborn Ikada onto the battlefield alongside Araumi, who was unsettled to see a baby brought into the fighting. When a freezing technique struck her as she shielded the child, she handed Ikada to his father before the ice took hold, drawing from him a promise that he raise their son into the great leader she was sure he would become. Her frozen form then slipped beneath the ocean.
Araumi returned to her ice-locked body again and again, leaving a pearl each visit as tribute, and let her dying wish consume him as he groomed Ikada for leadership. After a bitter argument with his daughter Isari over how to wage the war against Kiri, he once more descended to Minamo's side, holding fast to the vow he had made her.
