Ruiga

Ruiga's purple hair falls to about the cheeks, framing yellow eyes and light skin. Twin pale-blue teardrops sit on his cheeks with a small triangular mark beneath his chin.

His outfit pairs a dark-blue sleeveless top, dotted along the sides with light-grey circles, with matching fingerless arm warmers of the same pattern. Baggy light-grey trousers sit under an auburn skirt, finished with blue sandals, and he carries a pair of tonfa.

Like his siblings, Ruiga was ruled by greed and self-interest, ready to cut down allies simply to keep a larger share of the spoils. Where he differed was in trust: he never expected his own brothers to turn on him, and he was left stunned when, begging Jiga for help, he was killed by him instead.

Ruiga, Jiga, and Renga engineered a coup that toppled the daimyō of the Land of Vegetables. Once in power, the three turned on the greedy courtiers who had helped them and wiped them out, then began scheming against one another, each hoping to claim more riches and authority for himself.

All three brothers command jōnin-level strength, and together they overwhelmed an entire country; on his own Ruiga could brush aside a daimyō's elite guards. His mastery lay in Water Release, and unlike most ninja he did not need a standing body of water, drawing moisture out of plant life through his Water Release: Water-Heavens Convergence. With that supply he could drown and imprison foes or raise shielding walls of water. He also summoned fish such as piranha and sharks, keeping them fighting even on dry land through his water control, though depriving them of water left them helpless. In close combat he wielded his tonfa with skill, deflecting volleys of projectiles unscathed and even using the sturdy tools as dowsing rods to locate water.

During the Peddlers Escort Mission he defeated the so-called genius Kikunojō by sealing him in a water bubble and loosing piranha on him. Naruto Uzumaki traced the secret behind his power, and together with Yurinojō he baited Ruiga onto rocky ground where Chōji Akimichi drank every drop of available water, leaving both the ninja and his shark powerless before Chōji finished him with the Human Boulder. With Yurinojō hurt and Princess Haruna still at risk, the group left him behind. Ruiga then spotted Jiga and pleaded for aid, but his brother, reasoning that his death meant more power for himself and Renga, buried him under magnetic rocks and crushed him.
