Seito

What little the record shows paints Seito as a guardian who put duty first. As six of his own order turned against the daimyo, he refused to join the betrayal and instead threw in with the loyalists, and that fidelity carried him into the battle where he fell.

Membership in the elite twelve marked Seito as one of the mightiest fighters the Land of Fire could field, trusted to stand as a personal shield for the daimyo. Lightning was his nature affinity. Positioned at one of the four compass points alongside Kitane, Tou, and Nauma, he helped power Limelight, a technique that burned everything caught inside their encirclement down to ash.

A decade before the series opens, half of the guardian order rose up in a coup. Seito answered by fighting beside Chiriku, Asuma Sarutobi, Nauma, Tou, and Kitane. He met his end at Kazuma's hands when he and three fellow survivors moved to turn Limelight against him.

An anime filler arc later sees grave robbers steal the bodies of Seito, Kitane, Tou, and Nauma, reviving all four with lightning as hollow, mindless puppets. Asuma, having unraveled the thieves' plot, tries in vain to halt them. Seito walks toward some unknown spot while pouring out lightning, and upon reaching it he begins readying his share of Limelight. The scheme unravels once Asuma cuts down Kitane, and Kazuma dismisses the summoned Seito, Tou, and Nauma.
