Tanishi

Purple hair and light brown eyes mark Tanishi, and a maroon headband circles his brow, which bears a small black dot at its centre. He wears a high-collared green shirt with long sleeves beneath a dark green vest that hangs past his waist, held shut by a grey belt, finished off with dark trousers and sandals.

For much of his life Tanishi struggled to believe in himself. Meeting Naruto and watching the tyrant Kandachi brought down changed that, leaving the boy with newfound faith in his own worth.

Trouble came to the Genjutsu Tree Village when Kandachi, a rogue ninja out of Amegakure, seized control. Tanishi's father Sukune stepped forward to protect the villagers, only to be slain by Kandachi's Conch Whip; the boy cried out and lunged to stop the killer but was held back by his followers. Though not a ninja, Tanishi could break genjutsu using his father's Chilli Pepper Bombs, launching them with a slingshot to free allies even at a distance. When Naruto arrived, he helped Tanishi trust in the plan to reclaim the village, and the boy did his part by leading the villagers to safety during the fight against Kandachi, afterward mourning the father who had given his life.
