Attack! Fury of the Rasengan!

Tsunade brushes off the offered backup and moves to renew her fight with Kabuto, but a fresh cut across his own palm sends her into a paralysing panic over the sight of blood. Pulled aside to steady herself, she leaves the rest to the others: Jiraiya squares off against Orochimaru, while Naruto and Shizune take on Kabuto together.

Kabuto smears his blood over a summoning seal marked on Orochimaru's arms and calls forth a pair of serpents. Naruto and Jiraiya each reach for Gamabunta, yet neither commands the reserves the great toad demands, so they manage only the smaller Gamakichi and Gamatatsu. The medication Tsunade slipped Jiraiya has wrecked his chakra control, leaving his jutsu feeble, though Orochimaru fares little better with both arms hanging useless.

With his opponents hampered, Kabuto brushes past Naruto and Shizune and turns back toward the recovering Tsunade. As he moves to strike her down, Naruto throws himself into the path of the blow, set on shielding her whatever the cost. Pinning Kabuto with a single hand and calling up a shadow clone for support, Naruto shapes a complete Rasengan and drives it squarely into the medic's midsection.

The episode adapts chapters 165 through 167 within the Search for Tsunade arc. It marks the moment Naruto wields the Rasengan under real pressure, turning the technique into a genuine weapon rather than a training exercise, and it contrasts the paralysing weaknesses of two of the legendary sannin against a fully capable Kabuto.
