Key Events

Driven to the edge by prolonged hunger, Naruto and Guy give in and eat the fungus, only to be poisoned and lose their senses, turning on each other in a brawl until they cough the mushrooms back up. Naruto then summons Gamatatsu and sends him to Shima to beg some of her insect cuisine. The vegetable merchant and his gang slip aboard, assuming the crew has starved to death, but the Konoha shinobi rout them, load them onto a small boat, and cast them back down the Sea Route of Silence with the ravenous mushroom as their only food. As the ship clears the passage, Guy is seasick once more while Yamato shakes off his temporary ailment.
