Momoshiki devours Kinshiki for power and overwhelms the Kage, but Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto combine transformations and swaps to bring him down, and his fading spirit leaves Boruto an ominous prophecy.
The gathered shinobi recoil as Momoshiki absorbs Kinshiki for strength, treating it as his companion's own wish and their clan's custom. A shockwave slices through the God Tree and scatters everyone. Momoshiki kicks Darui aside, escapes Gaara's sand by binding him with his hair, and knocks out Chojuro and Kurotsuchi before turning on Naruto. Trading taijutsu, he gains the edge by sealing Naruto's chakra points, then repels Sasuke as well, hurling both against the ruined tree.
Naruto and Sasuke counter with chakra mode and their dojutsu, driving Momoshiki to forge his own weapons. Through a chain of feints, they trade places: an electrified fuma shuriken becomes a transformed Naruto, a Rasenshuriken reveals Sasuke, and Sasuke's Amenotejikara leaves Momoshiki wide open. Momoshiki breaks free of Chibaku Tensei with wooden dragons and a rock monkey, but Naruto's Kurama cloak and Sasuke's Susanoo cut through them. When Katasuke recklessly fires ninjutsu with the Shinobi Gauntlet, Momoshiki simply absorbs the attacks and turns them back, pinning the group.
Following Sasuke's cue, Boruto flings a Vanishing Rasengan that slips past Momoshiki's absorption and frees the others, revealing Sasuke trained him on the condition he learn the technique. As Momoshiki gulps chakra pills for a final push, Naruto pours his own chakra into an enlarged Rasengan for his son. A last round of swaps and clones sets up Boruto's decisive strike, which shatters Momoshiki. His spirit tells Boruto he carries strong Otsutsuki blood, warns that his victory bars him from staying an ordinary human, and grips his arm before vanishing. The episode covers chapters 8 through 10.
