Jūgo's Reinforcements

Shaken by Jūgo's capture, Boruto watches the birds until Sarada and Mitsuki urge him to focus on locating Sumire. As the Land of Rivers researchers prepare to experiment on Jūgo, Sumire and Nue search for Namida and Wasabi and instead run into Karin and Suigetsu. Nue attacks Suigetsu, whose counterstrike ends the summoning and draws Team 7 to the commotion. Mitsuki and Sarada recognise the newcomers before Boruto can strike. Suigetsu reveals they have come to bring Jūgo back to Orochimaru, and once Team 7 explains Jūgo's condition, he agrees to retrieve him first, keeping any link to Orochimaru's cursed seal hidden. Unmoved by Boruto's protests, Suigetsu notes he has known Jūgo for years while Boruto has only just met him.

Boruto asks the group to wait for Sumire to wake so she can share what she knows. When she rouses, she describes the collared twins wielding cursed seals, whom Boruto recalls from the research team, and suspects they are hiding something. Karin proposes a full alliance, wary that unfavorable reports could eventually reach Orochimaru. A plan takes shape: Sarada and Karin will draw the twins away while the others slip in to free everyone. Sarada disguises herself as Sumire to bait Momo and Sasami, though Sasami grows suspicious of her behavior. The teams split up to hunt for their captured friends, Konohamaru, and Jūgo across the facility.

This is episode 101 of the Boruto series, part of the Jūgo Arc. Mitsuki thwarts the research leader's attempt to assassinate Konohamaru just in time. Sarada drops her disguise, but only Sasami follows her, while Momo doubles back into Team 15. Tosaka leads Boruto and Suigetsu to Jūgo, then turns tranquilisers on them as they try to free him, welcoming the pair to his research lab. The episode uses the opening theme Golden Time and the ending theme Ride or Die.
