Naruto's Wedding

Konohamaru sets out to film short congratulations from the couple's friends, and almost every attempt goes sideways. Sai cannot loosen up on camera, Rock Lee crowds the lens with too much enthusiasm, and Guy insists the whole thing be shot at sunrise for symbolic weight. Ino's take collapses into bickering with Shikamaru and Choji, and once Akamaru knocks her over, Kiba grabs the recording duty and the quarrel only grows louder.

Frustrated at finding no clean footage, Konohamaru turns to Iruka, who freezes up and begs for more time. The next morning Iruka crosses paths with Sadoru, a rookie instructor rattled by students who have been defacing school property. Iruka picks out the culprits at a glance and coaxes a confession out of one, earning Sadoru's respect. Soon after, he is invited to sit an examination for the Academy's vice-principal post, and his growing effort becomes visible across the village.

One of the young troublemakers, Tsukune, hears that Naruto once pulled off the same stunt and lifts the Scroll of Seals himself. Iruka traces the boy to the Hokage monument and, rather than scolding him, apologizes for endlessly measuring his pupils against former students. Kakashi then reveals the stolen scroll was a decoy holding only an Icha Icha novel. He also explains that the promotion exam falls on the very day of the wedding. Iruka chooses to skip the test, unwilling to abandon the students in front of him, and Kakashi turns gift-shopping for the newlyweds into an official assignment.

Konohamaru's collection of well-wishing videos repeatedly falls apart as friend after friend fumbles their message. Iruka assists the anxious new teacher Sadoru and is put forward for a vice-principal examination. A student named Tsukune imitates Naruto by stealing the Scroll of Seals, and Iruka recovers it while mending his relationship with the boy. Learning the exam is scheduled against the wedding, Iruka declines it. Kakashi frames buying a present as a mission to sort out who attends and who covers duty that day.

The installment belongs to the Konoha Hiden wedding arc and pairs the opening theme Empty Heart with the ending Absolutely. Konohamaru even floats recording a note from Orochimaru, an idea Yamato shuts down at once. Tsunade's rule tying wedding attendance to gift quality drives much of the logistical comedy.
