The Secret of the Space-Time Ninjutsu

Tobi parries Naruto's strike with his war fan and declares that nothing will be allowed to disturb the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. The team commits everything they have. Though Tobi easily overpowers Naruto at first, he struggles once Guy wades in swinging a pair of nunchaku, and Guy opens a gap for Naruto to plant a Super Mini-Tailed Beast Ball. With Tobi distracted, Kakashi fires Kamui at the statue, only for the attack to be nullified, leaving him baffled.

Cut off from the others, Naruto has a rougher time holding out, so Kakashi hurls a lightning-charged kunai that Tobi redirects back at him, forcing Kakashi to warp the blade away with Kamui. Just as the group laments how strong Tobi seems, a faint crack splits his mask. Frustrated, he raises a flame barrier around the statue to deny B a killing blow. Studying the pattern, Kakashi enlists the others to test his theory and deduces that Tobi relies on a single technique, and that both their jutsu funnel into the very same dimension.

Kakashi presses Tobi on the source of his Sharingan, and the answer, that he took it during the clash at Kannabi Bridge in the Third Shinobi World War, leaves Kakashi reeling. When Tobi insists the world is beyond saving, Naruto rejects his outlook, and Kurama, having traded places with its host, declares that the Fourth Hokage sealed it inside Naruto to bring Tobi down. Clad in a fresh form of the mode, Naruto surges ahead to finish the fight. The episode adapts chapters 594 through 597.
