The Alliance learns Obito's true aim was never to revive Madara but to bind the Ten-Tails into himself, and the resurrected Hokage scramble to contain a fresh, terrifying jinchūriki.
Puzzled by the Ten-Tails vanishing from the field, the Shinobi Alliance turns to Hinata, who explains through Sakura that Obito soaked up the creature's entire body and chakra. Naruto lays out to Sasuke and Minato that reviving Madara was never the plan, that Obito meant all along to make himself the beast's host. Grasping the scale of the danger, Hashirama and Tobirama act, and the First Hokage pins the new jinchūriki, only for Obito to smash both the restraints and the surrounding barrier apart with chakra arms.
Minato calls out to a former student who barely knows his own name, while the immortal reincarnated Hokage probe the enemy's power and are swiftly beaten down, leaving Hashirama to face Madara. Minato presses the attack to exploit Obito's shaky control, and inside his own mind Obito is nearly torn apart by the Ten-Tails before wresting command of it, taking on a new form and striking to wipe out his foes in a single blow.
