Their Decision

A wounded Boruto and Sarada are carried to Yubina's clinic by Mitsuki, who collapses on arrival. Konohamaru and Mugino later bring the two genin home to Konoha, where Sakura and Shizune take over their treatment. Naruto reassures an anxious Hinata and Himawari, while Konohamaru shoulders the guilt for the injuries and reveals he left Mitsuki with Orochimaru, since the boy's condition was beyond Yubina's skill.

The village leaders gather to compare notes on Victor and Deepa. Konohamaru pushes to probe Victor's company, but the Land of Valleys answers to no one, so nothing can be forced; Shikamaru knows someone with pull there, though clearance will take a few days. Victor, meanwhile, guards the Hashirama Cell obsessively, and his bickering with Deepa exposes the strain within Kara before he dispatches Deepa after another prize.

As they recover, Boruto and Sarada stew over how useless their techniques were against Deepa, and their forced cheer worries both Shizune and their visiting friends from Teams 5 and 15. The pair slip out of the hospital on their own, set on becoming stronger to avenge Mitsuki rather than tagging along on Konohamaru's sanctioned trip to Victor's company. Since Sasuke already mentors Sarada and Naruto is buried in Kara intelligence, Sasuke steers Boruto toward Kakashi, the only other villager who can wield the Rasengan.
