The Second Division, also styled the Short-Range Battle Division, was a front-line battalion of the Allied Shinobi Forces raised for the Fourth Shinobi World War. Commanded by Iwagakure's Kitsuchi, it grouped together fighters built for close-quarters combat.
Assembled ahead of the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Second Division stood as one of the large fighting arms of the Allied Shinobi Forces under the command of Kitsuchi of Iwagakure. It also carried the alternate designation of Short-Range Battle Division. Numbering in the thousands, its ranks mixed shinobi and samurai who specialised in melee fighting, and Shikamaru Nara described it in the anime as the regiment meant to hold the war's front lines.
Once formed, the division deployed to the northern tip of the Land of Lightning's peninsula. When the Intelligence Division picked up the White Zetsu Army tunnelling underground, the Second Division was sent to head them off, bolstered by reinforcements from the Fifth Division. Kitsuchi and Kurotsuchi ripped thousands of the Zetsu up out of the earth, letting the Allies pour attacks onto them, though the clones' toughness and their knack for siphoning chakra dragged the fight into a war of attrition, and still more of them slipped past underground.
Headquarters then ordered the division to strike the First Division's attackers from the rear, so Kitsuchi split off with part of his force and left the remainder to mop up. That night Tobi arrived and called forth the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, which rampaged unchecked after Kitsuchi's Earth Release: Sandwich Technique failed to pin it, before Tobi withdrew with the statue and two captured tools. In their commander's absence the remaining troops formed a protective ring around the Logistical Support and Medical Division, and Naruto Uzumaki's ability to sense negative emotions later helped root out White Zetsu infiltrators hidden in their ranks. Reports eventually confirmed the division had wiped out its opponents, after which it regrouped with the wider Allied forces to confront the Ten-Tails under Madara and Obito Uchiha.
The battalion was led by Kitsuchi of Iwagakure, who served as its commander. His daughter Kurotsuchi fought alongside him, and Naruto Uzumaki lent the division critical aid in exposing disguised enemies within its ranks.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
