Summary
On his way out of the village toward Orochimaru's lair, Naruto asks Shikamaru to pass an apology along to Boruto, then departs. Moments later Boruto turns up with Mitsuki, carrying the lunch his father forgot. Sarada volunteers to run it out to Naruto, and after some hesitation Boruto lets her take it. She sets off alongside Chocho, neither girl aware that a small creature bearing a single Sharingan is following them. In a far-off clearing, a young man called Shin receives an order from the man he calls father: seize Sarada.
The two girls keep chasing after Naruto to hand over the meal. Sensing them through Sage Mode, Naruto doubles back so they will not waste the trip. As Sarada and Chocho pause to catch their breath, Shin corners them. Sarada notes his Sharingan, recalling her mother's claim that only Sasuke and their family remained of the Uchiha. Shin quickly gets the upper hand in the short clash, and Naruto arrives just in time to pull the girls out of danger.
