Summary

The Leaf Village sets about repairing the damage. Their minds on Tsunade, Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi cross paths with Inari and Tazuna, who have travelled in to return the kindness once shown to the Land of Waves by lending their hands to reconstruction. Steering the pair away from the truth about Sasuke through vague comparisons, Naruto reflects on how his friend fits his newfound thinking about suffering, revenge, and peace.

Drawing on the losses of Jiraiya and Nagato, Naruto decides he now grasps what the severing of bonds means to Sasuke, and with it, how the original Team 7 might be restored, a prospect that lifts his teammates' spirits. Elsewhere, Team Samui reaches Konoha carrying a message from the Fourth Raikage. Danzō, freshly installed as Hokage, endorses the Raikage's stance and pushes it further, commanding Leaf ninja to strike Sasuke down should the chance arise. Kiba later relays the order to Team Kakashi.
