Chapter 601 brings the revived Madara face to face with the Alliance, as he questions Obito's rushed plan, deflects Naruto's assault back at him, and moves to seize the remaining tailed beasts while Kakashi presses his old friend for the truth.
Madara's appearance on the field stuns Naruto, Kakashi, Guy, and B, who fear what his presence means for the Kage. He and Obito speak with unnerving calm, and Madara points out that this Naruto is only a clone. When he suggests the Kage are likely faring badly, Naruto is enraged. Far off, a Tsunade cleaved in two manages to call up Katsuyu, who is alarmed by her state and rushes to reassemble her; Tsunade instead orders the slug to gather the other Kage while there may still be time to save them.
Back at the front, Obito hands Madara his gunbai just in time to swat aside a barrage of black receivers Naruto has launched at the pair. Madara then chides Obito for beginning the plan prematurely, before the Eight and Nine-Tails were secured, calling the move hasty.
Madara pins the manner of his own resurrection on Obito's impatience and demands to know what became of Nagato and the technique that was meant to revive him. Learning they intended to exploit his fellow disciple this way, a furious Naruto strikes with a Super Mini-Tailed Beast Ball, but Madara turns the force back with Uchiha Return and dispels the clone.
Sensing the young Uchiha is working toward some scheme, Madara sets out to capture the Eight and Nine-Tails, leaving Obito to face Guy and Kakashi. Kakashi seizes the chance to ask his old friend what happened to him, and Obito recalls being heavily bandaged and stitched back together in a place a withered Madara described as lying between the realms of the living and the dead.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
