Chapter 185 has the Sound Four cut down the Konoha ninja shadowing them while the Sasuke Recovery Team closes the gap and readies an ambush during the Sasuke Recovery Mission.
Powering up to the first stage of their cursed seals, the Sound Four fall upon Raidō Namiashi and Genma Shiranui. When the two fail to rejoin their unit, their comrades Iwashi Tatami and Shizune set out to find them and discover the pair barely clinging to life.
Trailing Sasuke, the Sasuke Recovery Team catches wind of the clash and works out that their target is traveling with a guard detail. Drawing close to where the Sound Four are holed up, they spot traps laid across the area. Reasoning that their enemies are likely worn out and resting after the fight, the retrieval squad moves into position for a surprise strike.
The Sound Four activate their cursed seals and leave Raidō and Genma near death, later found by Iwashi and Shizune. The Sasuke Recovery Team realises Sasuke has escorts and locates the Sound Four's resting spot amid a field of traps. The team prepares to ambush the exhausted enemy.
