Ten-Tails

The reformed monster leaves Naruto rattled, and his first instinct is that some trick let it materialise, since none of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's hateful chakra reached his senses. Kurama corrects him: a creature acting in its full Tailed Beast form holds no emotions or convictions whatsoever, behaving more like raw natural energy, so ordinary detection simply fails. Measuring its might through Sage Mode, the fox adds, is a wholly separate matter. Perched atop the giant, Obito and Madara bind themselves to it; the younger of the pair wants the Eye of the Moon Plan underway at once, while Madara would rather first see what the beast can do.

When Naruto finally reaches out through Sage Mode, the reading confirms a strength beyond any scale he can grasp. Kurama has Gyūki hand over Kakashi and Might Guy so he can refill their chakra, then takes charge of the battle. His plan hurls an unbroken barrage of Tailed Beast Balls at the enemy, a sequence that seems to end with Gyūki torn apart by the Ten-Tails' own blast. The truth surfaces afterward: Kakashi had used Kamui to displace the ox while Naruto flung him and a clone above the target, letting Kakashi free Gyūki to fire a ball straight down at the towering foe.

The installment shares its name with the tailed beast it reintroduces, and it opens volume 64 during the climax stretch of the Fourth Shinobi World War. It first ran in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump for 2012.
