Summary

Asuma remarks that he has gone without a cigarette lately, brushing off the notion that nerves over a clash with Akatsuki are behind it, even as he quietly worries about how the fight will go. Back in Konoha, Naruto and a squad of shadow clones wrestle with folding wind chakra into the Rasengan, and the strain runs so high that a few clones lose their grip on the Nine-Tails' chakra until Yamato reins them in.

Before the immortal can retaliate, Shikamaru's shadow pins him in place, opening a window for Izumo and Kotetsu to land a hit of their own.
