Summary

When Sasuke moves to strike, Sarada stops him by naming him as her father, hurt that he shows no sign of knowing her. Naruto and Chōchō turn up moments later, Chōchō scolding her friend for wandering off alone. Sasuke demands to know why Naruto dragged youngsters along, and Sarada admits the girls trailed him to reach this spot. Chōchō openly muses over whether this man might be her own father, while Sarada instead confronts Sasuke about whether Sakura truly gave birth to her. Far away, Shizune relays to Sakura what her daughter has discovered and what she means to do. Frustrated by Sasuke's blank responses and his refusal to say anything about himself, Sarada storms out.

Chōchō then admits the man really is Sarada's father. Naruto's thoughts drift to a Kage gathering where Sasuke had spoken of a fresh danger tied to Kaguya and the White Zetsu Army, requesting freedom to look into it quietly. As Naruto tries to console Sarada and Sakura hurries toward them, Shin's father declares Akatsuki reborn to Shin and a row of identical copies, exposing the many Sharingan set into his scalp and left arm. His summoned creature warps him straight to Naruto's position. Chōchō half-jokingly tells Sasuke to bond with his daughter over food just as he senses the attackers closing in. Shin and his father lash out at Sarada and Naruto, who deflects the blow, and when the elder charges, Sasuke enters the fight.
