As the meteorite plummets, Ōnoki refuses to let the alliance surrender without effort and flies up to reduce its weight, while Gaara orders a retreat and stays to assist. Speaking through Mū, Kabuto guesses Madara means to level everything with the impact, and Madara confirms it, unbothered since he can regenerate. Ōnoki lightens the rock and Gaara catches it with his sand, only for a second meteorite to slam into the first. At Allied Headquarters, A, Tsunade, and Shikaku puzzle over why the masked man would falsely claim Madara's identity. Tsunade reasons that the name alone commands the world's fear and was enough to ignite a war. The second impact's shockwave reaches HQ, and Tsunade resolves to go to the front lines.

Dodai's protection keeps Naruto's clone alive. Madara tries and fails to summon the sealed Nine-Tails, and Kabuto reveals Naruto is its jinchūriki. Madara unleashes Hashirama's Wood Release forest, but Kurama lends Naruto chakra of its own will. Naruto's clones form multiple Big Ball Rasengan and obliterate the advancing trees before his borrowed chakra runs out.

A Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax chapter gathered in Volume 59. The installment marks a turning point in Naruto's bond with Kurama, as the fox chooses to aid him rather than be seized again by Madara, and Ōnoki vows to keep fighting.
