The Raikage vs. Naruto?!

Barring the road ahead, the Raikage refuses to let Naruto and Killer B advance toward the war. Naruto's attempts to talk him down go nowhere, so he begs Tsunade to intervene, only for her to admit she cannot overrule the other leaders on her own authority as Hokage. When Naruto tries to slip past, the Raikage cuts him off, and Tsunade is astonished that the boy can match a man who calls himself the swiftest ninja alive now that the Fourth Hokage is gone.

The Raikage scolds Naruto for mirroring his reckless father and argues that the entire crisis could have been avoided had the Fourth, the man Jiraiya once hailed as the world's savior, handled the Nine-Tails differently. Declaring that he will kill Naruto rather than let Tobi seize him, he lunges, only to be blocked by B. He rebukes both of them as jinchuriki who have no right to act freely.

Tsunade rages that he would move without the other Kage's consent and target Naruto so readily. The Raikage coldly replies that he would strike down his own brother if it came to it, but for now B is the more valuable weapon. B refuses to step aside, insisting he is a person with people and causes worth fighting for, not a mere tool.

The brothers bump fists in solidarity, and the Raikage remembers the day B was assigned to be his sibling and partner. The chapter appears as number 541 in volume 57 during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc.
