Chapter 307 reunites Team 7 with Sasuke only to expose how far he has drifted, as he mocks the idea of rekindled bonds and coldly proposes killing Naruto to be rid of the whole matter.
Sasuke wants to know why Kakashi is absent, prompting Yamato to identify himself as the one filling that role. From this, Sasuke reasons that Sai must be standing in for him, and he throws back Sai's earlier words about wanting to mend the connection he shares with Naruto.
Sasuke treats the whole notion as a joke and laughs it off. Even so, his old teammates recognize that they had misjudged Sai, and they come around to accepting his aid in the effort to bring Sasuke home to the Leaf.
Sasuke, however, feels no pull toward returning. To cut the problem short, he proposes simply killing Naruto.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Yamato has taken over as Kakashi's replacement on the mission, which leads Sasuke to conclude that Sai must be serving as his own stand-in on the team.
Sasuke treats Sai's words about mending his connection with Naruto as a joke and laughs it off, showing no interest in rekindling old ties.
Feeling no pull to return to the Leaf, Sasuke proposes simply killing Naruto to cut the problem short.
