Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Jackal

Ranked among the Zoan fruits, this power reshapes its eater into a big black jackal, with a complete animal shape and a hybrid one both on call. Chaka is the one who consumed it, and because jackals belong to the same biological family as dogs, the name keeps the canine thread running through the Inu Inu line.

The change raises Chaka's power, pace, and sensory acuity in the manner of any carnivorous Zoan, leaving him far better suited to physical clashes than the milder animal types. He tends to summon the shift when feeling runs high, having morphed into the jackal once Crocodile stoked his fury, then fusing beastly muscle with his swordsmanship. The boost to speed and strength let him spring onto the roof of the Arabasta castle where Crocodile sat. Only one named attack has ever been displayed. In Narikiba, Chaka takes his full jackal shape, grips his sword between his jaws, and charges to rake his target with the edge. That strike accomplished nothing against Crocodile, who turned his body to sand so the blade slipped straight through. Apart from the usual seawater weakness, no special flaw has been noted.

Chaka of Arabasta wields the fruit. He embodies the jackal, one of the kingdom's pair of guardian spirits, alongside Pell, whose own falcon form comes from a different fruit named Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Falcon. That pairing nods to the Egyptian gods Anubis and Horus in turn, linking Chaka's power to notions of protection and standing.
