Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Falcon

This Zoan power lets its bearer take the shape of a sizeable falcon, and also a blended falcon-human form, whenever they choose. The Japanese tori means bird, and though the model's kanji spells falcon, it is voiced with the loaned reading of the species' name. Pell is the one who ate it, and by his own reckoning the fruit sits among a mere five known powers on record that grant flight.

Assuming a falcon or hybrid shape hones the user's senses to a raptor's sharpness and delivers the coveted power of flight. Fully transformed, Pell can bear passengers on his back, and weight barely slows him, since he once lifted an enormous bomb high aloft without any visible strain. Apart from the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses, the power reveals no particular vulnerability.

Pell, the only known eater, gains heightened speed and strength plus talons keen enough to tear through opponents, leaving him better suited to physical combat than a typical Zoan user. Flight aids him both in travel and in attack, and he has been shown firing twin Gatling guns in midair like a fighter plane while also giving allies rides on his back. His named move, Tobizume, has him take wing in hybrid form and dive talons-first so swiftly he appears to vanish. As a guardian of Arabasta alongside Chaka the Jackal, the falcon evokes the Egyptian deity Horus.
