Mosa Mosa no Mi

Seen in One Piece Film: Z, this Paramecia power sits outside canon and lets its user hurry a plant's growth before taking charge of it. Binz is the character who consumed the fruit. Its name derives from the Japanese sound word for greenery springing up quickly, while the Funimation dub calls it the Grow-Grow Fruit after what it does.

The chief benefit here is rushing plants to full size and then bending them to the user's aims, whether to ensnare a foe or to raise a defense. A significant catch is that living plants must already stand nearby, on grass for example, because the power works existing vegetation rather than creating any from nothing. Beyond that condition, the standard Devil Fruit vulnerabilities are in play.

Binz is the fruit's only wielder, forcing plants upward to assault, seize, or guard against enemies. His labeled moves cover Mosa Mosa Dance, an odd bit of dancing that quickens plant growth, and Mosa Mosa Kuzushi, a stronger form that hastens enormous masses of plants into a coordinated attack. In effect the fruit parallels the Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia power that Ryokugyu commands, since both bend plants to their user, yet this one is a Paramecia bound to surrounding vegetation whereas Ryokugyu grows flora out of his own frame and from whatever surface he makes contact with.
