Overview
Falling outside the manga's canon and belonging to the Paramecia class, this fruit lets whoever eats it borrow the look of people who have died, a trait that names its holder an Onibi Human. Kardia is the character who consumed it. The title most plausibly springs from onibi, which in Japanese folklore are the spirits said to rise off the corpses of humans and beasts alike.
Mechanics
What the power really commands are will-o'-the-wisps, flame-shaped spirits that carry out its effects. Should one of those wisps brush against a keepsake belonging to someone deceased, it can drape the user in that individual's form and skills. The very same ghostly flames double as tools of attack when a fight breaks out. Past that, the holder stays subject to every ordinary Devil Fruit drawback.

Kardia alone has held this fruit. He aimed it at the Straw Hats by borrowing two familiar faces: taking Ace's shape to mislead Luffy, and Donquixote Rosinante's to trick Trafalgar Law. In each case the disguise was meant to knock the target off guard and open the way to defeating them.
