Rako Rako no Mi

This Zoan-type fruit grants its eater two transformations modeled on the sea otter, a fully bestial form and a blended otter-human shape, making the user a Sea Otter Human. Its owner is Pomsky, a member of the Marines. The name is a clipped form of the Japanese word for sea otter, and English releases call the user an Otter-Man. The fruit was formally named in an SBS column.

Pomsky's power first appeared in the late Egghead chapters as he fought.

As with most Zoan fruits, eating it boosts the user's raw physical capability and unlocks at least two shapes beyond the human one. In the hybrid form, Pomsky retains the hands needed to grip weapons and can swing them with considerable power.

Despite the sea otter being a semi-aquatic creature, the user is presumed to still risk sinking in water, alongside the other common Devil Fruit frailties. His sole shown technique is the Rakko Hammer, in which he brings a maul crashing down on an opponent from his hybrid form, rendered as Otter Hammer in English versions.

Pomsky is the only known eater, drawing on the fruit chiefly for combat. The power is grouped with other Devil Fruits based on semi-aquatic animals, such as the anaconda, axolotl, and spinosaurus models, all of which lend their users a water-adjacent lifestyle without canceling the standard inability to swim.
