Summary

With Atlas's command in effect, the Pacifista open fire on the Marines as Vegapunk's group presses toward the Fabiriophase. Sanji pinpoints Bonney just as a Vice Admiral assaults her, and she retaliates with NDE, convincing her attackers they have died when shock has merely knocked them out. Cornered next by Bluegrass, who ate the Nori Nori no Mi and rides PX-III 046, Bonney freezes at facing a clone of her father. Sanji pulls her clear, telling her these duplicates are not the man himself, and carries her back to the Vegatank-08. On the Labophase, the exhausted Luffy and Kizaru fight on until everyone, the two combatants plus Zoro, Lucci, and Jinbe, feels a sudden dread.

Key Events

That dread proves warranted when Saturn orders the Pacifista to cease. A summoning circle opens, all Marines are told he has arrived, and officers below Rear Admiral are forbidden to look at him. Saturn emerges transformed into a vast horned spider-demon hybrid and bursts the head of one Marine who accidentally meets his gaze. As Sanji's group is distracted, Kizaru slices the cloud road from under them, sending them falling. Luffy at last lands Gomu Gomu no Star Gun against Kizaru's head, a blow even the Admiral feels, but Luffy reaches his limit, reverts, and drops nearly unconscious, leaving the duel a draw. The Vegatank-08 crashes intact enough that all survive. Saturn appears before them, telling Vegapunk he should already be dead, and a tearful, enraged Bonney grabs a katana and drives it into his chest.

Notes

An Egghead Arc chapter, it formally introduces Vice Admiral Bluegrass and her Nori Nori no Mi, and reveals Saturn as an awakened Zoan based on an unknown horned arachnid. It establishes that only Marines ranked Rear Admiral and above may look upon a Five Elder. Per trivia, the magazine release used a slightly different title rendering. The cover is a color spread of the Shimotsuki Family promoting Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation.
