Akagami Yuki is a hot-blooded young boy obsessed with the Miracle Battle Carddass game and the hero of MiraBato Strongest Strategy: MiraBato GO!. His fiery red hair even echoes his surname, a play on the words for red hair.
Yuki is a small boy whose bright red hair stands upright in stiff spikes. He usually throws a jacket over a shirt marked with an M, and keeps his Miracle Battle Carddass deck tucked into a pouch strapped to his leg.
Impulsive and quick to heat up, Yuki rarely stops to think about his surroundings or the fallout of what he does. He is almost always grinning and adores the card game above all else. A fierce competitive streak fuels his lifelong rivalry with Shidou Masaru, a drive so strong that he once put himself through punishing physical training just to edge out his friend.
Yuki's adventures begin when he scatters his cards racing out of school and gets challenged to a duel by Aoba Michiru, losing badly to cards from series he had never heard of. He restocks that night, lands a lucky Super Saiyan Goku, and wins the rematch. He later goes three sleepless nights building a tournament deck, beating both Tomoki and Hazuki Akira. When the class girls protest the boys neglecting their chores, Yuki becomes their unofficial leader and clinches the decisive duel with a Chopper card. After recreating Goku's gravity training for a week, he defeats Masaru again over leftover pudding, and his growing fame eventually draws a challenge from Nasu Minato, whom he also overcomes.
