A pale yellow sash wraps his waist, and he completes the look with beige slacks and black footwear.

Personality

Quick to violence, Banzai needed only slight provocation before turning on the Straw Hat Pirates. He also loses focus easily, as proven when Nefertari Vivi's hypnotic dance left him distracted. He carries himself with brash bravado, rallying his crew with chants about their own strength.

Abilities

Banzai proves unexpectedly capable in a fight, landing blows on Luffy and his crew and even parrying some of Luffy's strikes with notable speed. His edge in their first clash, however, owed much to the Straw Hats having lost their memories and their know-how for fighting; once Luffy recovered his skill, Banzai went down. He prefers a single cutlass and handles it well, both striking and blocking with it. Several of his techniques carry mocking names: Zako Stab sends a downward slash that releases a Rankyaku-like shock wave, while Zako Storm chains a three-part assault with his subordinates Bravo and Harasho, capped by his own shock wave. Other moves like Zako no Chikai and Zako Tag are morale-boosting huddles. In the game, after the Straw Hats washed ashore with their memories stolen by Drim and Noko, Banzai ambushed them and wounded Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji before Mr. 2 Bon Kurei intervened; Luffy then bested him one-on-one. The Banzai Pirates were beaten a second time when they tried to stop Nami, Robin, and Vivi from leaving a hidden island.
