Personality

Gardar's memorial log notes that Black holds an admiration for the elite force Germa 66. It remains unclear whether Black is the man's genuine name or merely the title he answers to while filling the Stealth Black role.

History

His skill with a cutlass and his physical toughness were enough to win him a spot in Gardar's crew, which he enlisted in at some earlier point, taking up the Stealth Black guise. The band relocated to Bone Bridge Canyon inside the Sandy Desert. From there they preyed on travelers by springing down off low cliffs, yet the drops always left them flat on the ground before any strike could land.

During One Piece Odyssey, a bounty poster for Gardar surfaced in Spice Bean, where Luffy's crew picked it up. The Straw Hats located the captain and fought him for the reward. Gardar's followers passed themselves off as Germa 66, much to Sanji's irritation, before being beaten with ease and turned over to Margin for the bounty.

Inside the Arabasta Memoria warped by Crocodile's takeover, Black signed on with Baroque Works under Gardar and helped manage Nanohana. Sickness eventually overcame him, and Gardar set about finding a stand-in.
