Bulldog is the elderly monarch of the Sorbet Kingdom and the son of Conney. He ruled before Bekori, then took the crown back after Bartholomew Kuma, the heir to Bekori's line, was branded a fugitive.
Wrinkles and a thin grey beard mark Bulldog as a man well into old age, his height landing somewhere in the ordinary range. The hair atop his head is cropped and grey to match. For clothing he favors a feathered blue coat over a white V-neck, paired with dark trousers and brown boots, while a white ushanka trimmed in yellow at the ear flaps sits on his head. The likeness to the breed that shares his name is intentional.
Gentle and fair-minded, Bulldog enjoys particular fondness among Sorbet's older population. A sharp mind backs that kindness: by piecing together press reports and gathered intelligence, he was able to read Bekori's intentions and forecast where the man would move next.

Bulldog occupied the Sorbet throne until a quarter century ago, when Bekori took over from him, and the citizens long remembered him as an even-handed leader. He cautioned Kuma that remaining in Sorbet had grown dangerous, since Bekori might come back to seize the throne with the World Government behind him. Kuma then placed both the kingdom and Bonney in Bulldog's hands before departing.

Bulldog is tied to Bartholomew Kuma through the Sorbet royal succession. Kuma is heir to the line that took the throne from Bulldog, and the two later work together, with Kuma restoring Bulldog to real power while keeping the crown himself.
Bulldog warned Kuma that staying in Sorbet had become dangerous, since Bekori might return to reclaim the throne with the World Government's backing, which prompted Kuma to leave the kingdom and Bonney in Bulldog's care.
