Appearance

Tiny, deeply lined, and crowned with pale hair, Conney looks every bit her advanced years. Her wardrobe layers an ornate gown beneath a fur coat, finished off with a side cap. That cap once read dark with a pale brim, as seen six years earlier, though by roughly three and a half years later it had turned light throughout.

Personality

Gentle and maternal, she once took Bonney into her care. Age has done nothing to dull her mind: she saw through the World Government's pretense and recognized that the agents posing as Bonney's caretakers meant the child harm. She is also known for her skill at baking pizzas.

History

Long ago Conney married the Sorbet Kingdom's king and bore him a son, Bulldog. Her husband's death raised her to queen dowager while Bulldog took the throne, though about twenty-five years back she lost the rank when Bekori wrested the crown from her son. Six years before the present, she and Bulldog called on Bartholomew Kuma's church to weigh how dangerous a comeback by Bekori might be, and during that visit people kept confusing her with Jewelry Bonney, who had just unlocked her age-altering power. Once Kuma drove Bekori off and went on the run, Bulldog retook the throne and Conney her title, and she looked after Bonney while Kuma was abroad. Roughly three and a half years past she welcomed the girl home from a six-month course of treatment at Egghead. A year on she helped host Bonney's ninth birthday, then learned that Alpha and the medical staff were Cipher Pol operatives planted to keep the child from fleeing. Plotting with Gyogyo and others, she arranged for Bonney to age herself up and slip past Alpha unnoticed, then dressed as the girl herself to taunt the furious agent.
