Appearance

Carrot has the figure of an adolescent girl, only with white fur, blonde hair over brown eyes, twitching ears, a rabbit's nose, and a big round puff of a tail. At 161 centimeters she runs a touch short for her age. Her familiar getup is a sleeveless orange dress worn with the Guardians' green cape, a clawed paw-shaped gauntlet, and heeled boots, but she swaps through a long line of costumes over the course of her travels.

Gazing at a full moon lets her enter the Sulong state. Her eyes go red against blackened sclera, her ears lengthen, and her hair and tail swell out and turn snowy white while sparking with Electro. A thick ruff gathers at her neck in a way that suggests a lion, while her claws stretch out into sharp points, a change Nami finds beautiful and Jinbe calls mesmerizing.

Personality

Carrot guards the Mokomo Dukedom fiercely and snaps at any stranger she takes for an intruder, and in mink fashion she labels regular humans "lesser minks." The same fierceness covers the people she loves, and she was prepared to take on Germa 66 to keep her friends safe. Her feelings sit close to the surface: she begged a poisoned Luffy not to die and threw herself into tears, then was wrecked by Pedro's sacrifice before turning her rage on Katakuri.

Despite her standing as a warrior, she stays innocent and childlike about anything outside Zou. She thought crashing Big Mom's wedding sounded like a thrill rather than a deadly risk, and she packed barely half a day of supplies for a long voyage, shocked at the true size of the sea. True to her species she enjoys gnawing on objects, ears most of all, and she is wild about carrots and chocolate alike. She has also been shown to be sly when it counts, tricking Charlotte Brulee along with several Big Mom Pirates into believing she had been captured.

History

While still a girl, Carrot signed on with the Inuarashi Musketeer Squad and studied the sword under Shishilian, yet she had no gift for the blade, so Pedro took her under his wing and gave her clawed gauntlets in its place. Being a mink makes her a natural combatant, and she pushes Electro through those gauntlets, while her stint as a Kingsbird left her with stamina enough to stay awake at any hour. When Jack and the Beasts Pirates invaded Zou seeking Raizo, she held the line with the Musketeers until Inuarashi ordered a pullback, and the clash dragged on for five days before Jack unleashed Caesar Clown's poison gas on the minks.

After Jack left the island once Doflamingo fell, the recovered minks took the Straw Hats in, though Carrot first mistook Zoro's party for invaders and clashed with him. Desperate to see the world, she hid aboard the Thousand Sunny to join the team going after Sanji, revealing herself only well out at sea. Through Totto Land she fought hard, and under a full moon her Sulong form let her cut through the Big Mom Pirates and rip the helm off Daifuku's ship, even shrugging off a wave of Big Mom's Conqueror's Haki.

In Wano, Kin'emon's Devil Fruit cloaked her in disguise so she could take part in the Raid on Onigashima against the Beasts Pirates. Some years afterward she is chosen to become the Mokomo Dukedom's next ruler, putting on new robes as she leads the homeland she once ached to escape.
