Cocox

Part fox and part rooster, Cocox wears a whitish-gray coat that turns light brown near the eyes. A rooster's crown and wattle top his head, feathers grow along his rump, and his ears are red. The anime stretches his legs a little longer than the manga does.

Few details exist about his temperament, save for his habit of letting out a rooster-style crow of cock-a-doodle-doo.

When Luffy and Nami first set foot on its shores, Cocox was the very first creature to meet them, and he later joined the animals who saw the Straw Hats off as Gaimon waved farewell. Together with Lionbuta and Usagihebi, he watched Buggy crash onto the island and tangle with Gaimon. After the two made peace, Cocox took part in the celebration, dancing and balancing a fruit on his nose, and he turned up once more to see Buggy leave by raft. Years afterward he looked on happily as the newcomer Sarfunkel, a barrel-woman, fed Gaimon, and during the Egghead Arc he cheerfully watched Gaimon and Sarfunkel dance.
