The Coffee Monkeys are a kidnapping outfit operating out of the Sabaody Archipelago. Notorious for dragging captives to the Auction House, they crossed paths with the Straw Hats indirectly and later came to blows with Duval's Rosy Life Riders.
Fitting their name, the members carry monkey tails, pointed hairstyles, and long sideburns. Each dons a brown-and-green jacket cut in a track style and printed with cloud designs on the front, while the leader sets himself apart with a golden headband. They act the part too, one of them spotted swinging from a Yarukiman Mangrove root overhead.
Well known and respected across Sabaody, the gang counts as a formidable bunch, yet they proved no match for Duval and his Rosy Life Riders in a straight fight. They also strained physically while hauling the giant Stansen toward the Auction House after seizing him. In combat each member swings a staff.
Not long before the Straw Hats reached Sabaody, the group pounced on the giant Stansen while he slept, wrestled him to the Auction House despite the effort, and pocketed a fat reward. Later, when Usopp and a Rosy Life Rider paid them a visit, the tipsy leader, irritated that his captured giant had not been the star lot, still let slip that Camie had been carried off to the Auction House by Peterman and the Hound Pets. Following the war at Marineford, the group set out to seize the Thousand Sunny away from the Rosy Life Riders, figuring a vessel owned by Dragon's son Luffy would earn them a rich Marine bounty. The leader ordered Duval to surrender the ship and proposed splitting the money since they shared the same trade, but Duval turned him down, kicked the gang to the dirt, and swore to guard his friends' ship.
