Eric (Child)

A small boy, Eric has cropped dark blue hair and a snout-like nose that mirrors his father's. He dresses in a cream shirt layered under a green vest, with a purple kerchief tied at his neck, brown boots, and dark blue shoes. Topping the outfit is a tall top hat in light green, marked with thin vertical stripes and banded in purple and blue around its base.

The political quarrel between Marine supporters and their opponents means nothing to Eric, who only wants to spend time with his friend Doni. When their fathers, standing on opposite sides of that conflict, ordered the two to stop playing together, Eric responded by running off from home with Doni rather than give up the friendship.

Eager to play with Doni, Eric was kept apart from him because their fathers, the Pro-Marine Albert and the Anti-Marine Damian, would not allow it. The two boys ran away in protest. They were at Konko Plaza when Jeanne arrived to bring them home, but they refused, and when she warned that their families would worry, they handed her and her companion Luffy a letter to pass along about where they had gone. The pair then set out for Battery Island, a spot they had heard their fathers reminisce about playing at, hoping it might draw Albert and Damian there to make peace.

Out on the beach at the cape, Eric, Doni, and Jeanne were cornered by Don Axe and his pirate crew. Luffy showed up and defeated Axe, and as Axe's underlings lunged for the boys, Albert and Damian arrived to knock them out. The boys told their fathers what had brought them out there, and the two men agreed to settle their differences peacefully, letting their sons play together provided they stuck to safe places.
