Known as "Double Ironfist," Fullbody holds the rank of Marine lieutenant commander under Rear Admiral Hina. He opened the series as a headquarters lieutenant, took a demotion to free the ex-pirate Jango, then climbed back past his old rank. He plays a minor antagonist in the Baratie and Arabasta arcs.
Combed pink hair, a white pinstripe suit, and bolts fixed to his knuckles defined Fullbody early in the story, when he stood at average height and bore a scar below his right eye. His later look swaps the suit for a Marine cap, a navy shirt, orange plaid trousers, and brown boots, while the knuckle bolts stay; his hair grows longer and shaggier. He measures 184 cm and hails from the North Blue.
Vain and self-styled as a ladies' man, Fullbody once thrived on charming women as a rising Marine. His arrogance led him to underestimate foes such as the captured Gin, who tricked him away from the Krieg crew. Beneath the swagger, though, sits a man of conscience: when the Tulip Pirates' captain Yurikah seized a hostage, he refused to keep fighting, taking a beating rather than endanger an innocent. He rejects the doctrine of Absolute Justice, defending his friend Jango in court even though it cost him his rank, choosing the bond over his career. Still, he reluctantly does his duty, arresting Jango despite that friendship. A humiliating loss to Sanji at the Baratie left him with a lingering grudge and a wish to capture the cook, motives that blend wounded pride with his obligation as a Marine.
Holding the rank of lieutenant, Fullbody set out to ambush the battered Krieg Pirates upon their return from the Grand Line, only to be lured off course by Gin, whom he later caught and jailed aboard his ship. Docking at the Baratie, he taunted Johnny and Yosaku, beat them, and ordered the Going Merry sunk before settling in for an evening out with a date, the woman Moodie. Sanji ruined the evening, and a fly placed in the soup escalated into a fight that ended with Fullbody soundly defeated; he fled the restaurant once Gin escaped and Patty thrashed the pirate. He resurfaced on Mirrorball Island at a dancing competition, placing second behind a disguised Jango, and the two became fast friends. After the Tulip Pirates invaded and a hostage forced him to surrender, Jango returned to help him wipe the crew out. Duty made him arrest Jango anyway, but his courtroom objection dance swayed the trial, and Jango was acquitted on the condition that Fullbody drop to seaman recruit. Smitten at the sight of Captain Hina, both men enlisted under her. Reborn as "Double Ironfist" Fullbody, he and Jango failed to stop the Straw Hats from slipping out of Arabasta when Mr. 2 disguised his crew as them. He later joined Hina in hunting down Baroque Works survivors, took part in the Marineford summit conflict, and during the timeskip rose to lieutenant commander, escorting the Nefertari family toward Mary Geoise for the Levely. Much later, at a battleship boneyard close to the G-1 Marine outpost, Brannew presented him and Jango with two badly dented vessels once swung as sandbags, one by Garp and the other by Garp's old pupil Kuzan.
