Gantonio

True to his kind, Gantonio towers at enormous scale. His head is round and free of hair, and he dresses in a chainmail tunic belted at the waist with a cape draped across his shoulders. Once warped into a demon, he gains the telltale marks of the form: jagged oni fangs jutting from his mouth, a set of horns, eyes lit with an unnatural glow, and leathery bat wings spreading from his back. He may have swelled larger as well, since his crewmates grew when they were transformed.

By Brogy's account, Gantonio has a greedy streak, helping himself to far more food than his fair portion even while insisting otherwise. That appetite does not erode his loyalty, though. He holds his captain's judgment in high regard, going so far as to apologize to him even after being twisted into a demon against his will.

As a giant, Gantonio commands the towering strength and durability typical of his race. The demonic conversion forced on him and his crewmates by Imu pushed this further, granting an immortal, regenerating body able to recover from nearly any wound. In that state he fought with a large trident, though his handling of it could not stand against Brogy's axe. Caught up in the Domi Reversi technique Imu unleashed, he became a demon and joined the attempt to assassinate Jarul, only to be felled by a single fatal stroke from Brogy after the captain had been restored, the blow returning Gantonio to his normal self.
