Chapter 1177

At the Western Village the adults rush children and the wounded indoors as the still-corrupted Giant Warrior Pirates urge the freed Dorry and Brogy back into their ranks, boasting of newfound strength, immortality, and freedom from any sense of evil. One demon spears Dorry, smashing his shield and piercing his arm. Enraged, Dorry, Brogy, Hajrudin, and Stansen round on the demons, telling them to feel shame for bowing to wickedness, and they tear into them with brutal ease, Brogy venting old grudges as he bisects Gantonio. Their lethal enthusiasm for the slaughter leaves Jarul uneasy even as he watches their enemies fall.

Near the lift, Chopper guards the injured Gaban while Kashii, cornered by demons, cannot bring himself to strike his old friends. So Chopper swallows a Rumble Ball, shifts into Monster Point, and punches a demon; the blow lands no real damage yet drives the demon out, reversing the Domi Reversi and restoring the giant, which puzzles them both. Reduced to a severed head, Killingham keeps hurling threats and bile at the fish-man Jinbe, while Franky suggests boxing his parts apart and Sanji marvels at how weak a Knight of God proved to be. Luffy and Loki then rejoin the others, having wiped out Killingham's MMAs.

Nami scolds the pair for sparking still more fires, and when Loki blasts Luffy in frustration, the rubber body shrugs the lightning off, startling him. A distant explosion draws their eyes: at Branch 8, Usopp is being pounded yet refuses to abandon Brook, raging at Imu over the kidnappings, the monsters loosed on civilians, and the warriors twisted into killing each other, before Imu lures his point-blank shot into backfiring and regenerates unharmed. Luffy and Loki arrive, Loki confirming that Imu generated the immense Haki felt down in the Underworld, and Imu tells them, naming them Nika and Nidhöggr, that whether they yield or die, the battle ahead will split the Blue Planet in two.
