Gillian

Gillian is built to an average frame and wears a dark beard. A wide-brimmed hat tops his outfit, which pairs a red shirt with brown shorts.

His character is only lightly sketched, but one trait stands out clearly: he holds onto grudges. The hatred he developed for Luffy lingered for years after their first run-in, driving much of what he does.

Details on his combat skill are thin, yet he was capable enough to bring nine separate bandit groups together under one name and to draw a bounty of 30,000,000 berries. In battle he swings a broadsword. Years earlier, Gillian and Luffy clashed on Mt. Colubo, and his loss there planted the deep hatred he still carries. He afterward left Goa, wandering island to island and absorbing bandit bands until nine had merged into Bandit Nine, the title he then took for himself. On Water 7 during One Piece Odyssey, he confronted the Straw Hat Pirates vowing payback, only to deflate when Luffy did not even remember him; he attacked anyway and was swiftly beaten, then handed to Margin for the bounty. Margin recruited him into the Bounty Pirates, and after joining their ambush on the Straw Hats he was defeated once more and turned over to the Marines.
