History

Its sharpened teeth and enormous bulk let it swallow smaller foes with little effort, and Road regarded its predatory nature as making it a difficult adversary. When two locals caught wind of a rumor that the Ear God had fallen, they were stunned, convinced such a thing was impossible. Soon after Luffy reached the Land of Gods the beast confronted him, and he killed it before Zoro and Sanji arrived. Sanji then cooked the meat for the trio to eat, and the creature's collapse sent a tremor rolling through the forest. Its blackened bones were later discovered near town, disrupting the residents' routines, and when its owner Road found the remains he was shocked at first but soon laughed off how amusing he found the whole affair.
