History

He likely possessed at least rudimentary fighting skill, since he readied his shovel against Nami, yet she completely outclassed him. Once the Tulip Pirates came ashore at Whisky Peak and were slain by Baroque Works, the chore of getting rid of their bodies fell to him. As he carried the corpses toward a ruined hut set among the cactus mountains, Nami spotted him after slipping away from the crew's celebration to investigate. After exposing the island's hidden truth to her, he swung his shovel, only to be put down without difficulty. He later returned to the town and attempted to strike Zoro from behind, but the swordsman parried the blade and ran him through, ending his life and tallying the hundredth agent to fall.
