Guyle

Tan-skinned and powerfully built, Guyle sports yellow dreadlocks bundled up with a handkerchief and a black, anchor-shaped beard framing a prominent nose. A spherical pendant hangs at his neck.

Like his crewmates, Guyle is fiercely protective of the Phoenix Pirates and clings to the belief that their captain Puzzle is destined to be Pirate King; Vigaro's death struck him hard. He carries a strong sense of honor, taking up arms against the Accino Family to recover the crew's flag. Where some of his fellows hold back, he leans toward open aggression, launching the assault on Sanji, Franky, and Robin and even floating the idea of deposing Stansen, seizing the Thousand Sunny, and turning it against their captors.

Guyle is reasonably strong, having helped the crew push into the New World, though the foes they met there proved overwhelming and drove them back to Paradise. The Phoenix Pirates could not best the Accino Family on their own, but they did manage to rout a swarm of Domo Penguins. He fights with a sword and handles it with fair competence.

His backstory traces the crew's journey from Paradise into the New World, where stronger enemies cost them Vigaro and forced a retreat. The Accino Family then defeated them, confiscated their flag, and pressed them into luring other crews to be robbed. During the Ice Hunter Arc the Phoenix Pirates posed as raided fishermen to ensnare the Straw Hats, drugging their food and drink, but Sanji, Franky, and Robin feigned sleep and confronted them. Guyle, Sutton, and Basil traded blows with the trio until Stansen ordered a retreat. After Brindo humiliated the crew aboard their own ship, Luffy intervened, and a chain of clashes with the Accino Family followed. Guyle and the others rescued Luffy from the sea, battled penguins at Lovely Land, and ultimately set sail again for the New World beside the Straw Hats, charging happily back into a final skirmish with Campacino so their allies could press on.
